
UK based, Adelaide born singer
Sia Furler, has announced that she will be releasing a nine-song live LP. Entitled
'Lady Croissant' it will be released by
Astralwek on April 3rd.
The set, which contains both
Zero 7 (the electronica duo for whom she often provides vocals) and Sia's own songs, was recorded at New York's
Bowery Ballroom. It features live performances of
Numb,
Breathe Me and a cover of the
Pretenders song,
I Go To Sleep as well as a brand new studio recording titled
Pictures.
She recently found time to record a duet with George's
Katie Noonan for Noonan's soon to be released solo album.
Meanwhile, Sia is also planning to record her third solo album this year.
Furler Facts:Sia is the niece of
Men At Work's Colin Hay.
Sia last year recorded a cover of
Radiohead's 'Paranoid Android' for the Radiohead tribute album
'Exit Music: Songs With Radio Heads'.
Her solo track
Breathe Me, brought swift recognition after appearing on the popular television series
'Six Feet Under'.
Her song
Sunday was also recently featured in an episode of
'Grey's Anatomy'.
Upon the US release of her album 'Colour The Small One' she was Cited by
Rolling Stone as one of "
10 Artists To Watch" and
The New York Times announced- "
