3.5/5
A favourite from last year, Wes Anderson’s whimsical family comedy/drama starring Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman could have done with more extras for the DVD release. I mean, how hard is it to include a making of? The film itself – which tells the story of the three brothers’ journey through India on a train – is brilliant and the DVD thankfully includes the Hotel Chevalier short (which stars Schwartzman and Natalie Portman), but a few more extras would have been grand. Like so many DVD releases, The Darjeeling Limited is a great film set back by an average home release. I await the inevitable Criterion edition.
Extras: Hotel Chevalier, featurettes
