Super Massive EP Launch At Candy’s Apartment – Friday 11 July
thumb_super-massive.jpgMy outing to Candy’s for the ‘Key Party’ began with Cheap Wine. And what good night doesn’t? Of course I speak of Cold Chisel’s classic, tonight performed by Christa Hughes (formerly of Machine Gun Fellatio). The scantily clad songstress performed to some very attentive thirtysomething males who may have not cared for the music, but still gave good reception.

Pull Up! Featuring Mista Savona At Manning Bar – Saturday 19 July
thumb_mistasavonaband2.jpgOut Of Order warmed a slow-to-arrive crowd who had chosen reggae at the Manning Bar over hanging with the Pope for World Youth Day. A humble turnout battled road closures and icy weather to catch Mista Savona headline with his ten-piece band for the first time in Sydney.

Radiohead at Malahide Castle, Dublin, Ireland – Friday 6 June
thumb_radiohead.jpgAfter spending the equilivant of three week’s wages on flights and accommodation pre-tour announcement, I decided to fork out an extra week’s wage rearranging the above details so that I could accommodate the most important detail of all – Radiohead live at Malahide Castle, Friday 6 June 2008.

thumb_sounds-on-sunday.jpgWith the music amped up and the crowed amped up even further, the 9th Birthday of Sounds on Sunday at Greenwood Hotel was either a person’s favourite dream or worst nightmare.

The Mars Volta at the Hordern Pavilion – Thursday 19 June
thumb_the.mars.volta.jpgThe stage at the Hordern Pavilion was filled with fuzzy hair, uniquely electrifying dance moves and some serious psychodelic jamming when Latin influenced, progressive rock group The Mars Volta started to lead the audience on their musical merry-go-round.
